Kalmar brings the fully electric TT7 terminal tractor to European markets

Kalmar has launched the fully electric TT7 EV terminal tractor for the European market.

The new battery-electric model joins the recently introduced TT7 series and tarobtains port terminals, logistics yards and cargo handling operations seeking zero-emission solutions.

Kalmar officially launched the TT7 EV during the TOC Europe Conference in Hamburg, Germany, taking place from 19 to 21 May 2026.

The TT7 EV features a redesigned chassis developed applying customer feedback focapplyd on durability and clearer maintenance. The terminal tractor applys a heavy-duty galvanized steel frame and reinforced axles designed for demanding European shunting operations.

Kalmar stated the vehicle also offers improved operator visibility through a wide front windscreen, large rear windows and convex side mirrors.

The terminal tractor comes equipped with MyKalmar INSIGHT connectivity tools, allowing operators to monitor battery health and performance data.

Kalmar also simplified maintenance by reducing the number of mechanical components through the electric drivetrain design.

The cabin includes upgraded suspension, climate control and improved ergonomic features to support operator comfort.

“The Kalmar TT7 EV is a direct response to our European customers who have been waiting for a zero-emission variant of our latest terminal tractor platform,” stated Thor Brfinishen, President of Terminal Tractors at Kalmar.

“We have focapplyd on combining the practical robustness of the TT7 series with a sustainable drivetrain.”

Kalmar stated the TT7 EV supports customers aiming to reduce emissions without compromising operational performance.
