Green Eagle Solutions, a Spanish firm automating renewable energy operations, has secured a majority investment from Copilot Capital to fuel an aggressive expansion into the United States.
The funding arrives as renewable portfolios grow more complex. Operators now juggle wind, solar, hydro, and battery assets across volatile energy markets and an expanding thicket of regulations. Manual control rooms simply cannot keep pace.
Founded in 2012 by software engineers Alejandro Cabrera and Juan Fernández, the company took an unconventional path. Instead of building another dashboard for human operators to monitor, they automated the operator actions themselves. That vision produced ARSOS Automation Suite, released in 2020, which handles fault response, curtailments, and dispatch decisions without round-the-clock human intervention.
The scale of automation now looks substantial. ARSOS manages 90 GW of assets spanning Iberia, Europe, North America, Latin America, Australia, and other EMEA markets. More than 10,000 wind turbines run autonomously on the platform, with over one million automated actions executed monthly.
Cabrera, the company’s co-founder and CEO, noted that Copilot Capital arrived with a working knowledge of the business rather than generic investor interest. He described the firm as having a concrete strategy for a company at Green Eagle’s exact stage, positioning the deal as a partnership rather than a simple capital raise.
John Messer, founder and managing partner of Copilot Capital, framed the investment as consistent with the firm’s thesis of backing fast-growing European software companies and helping them become global category leaders.
Green Eagle has already landed two of the largest power producers in the United States as customers. The new capital will support the operational infrastructure and go-to-market machinery needed to convert those early wins into a dominant North American presence.
