Zelensky seeks funds for gas imports
President Zelensky has declared he will maintain prices for gas and electricity.
He declared in a post on X: “We will definitely secure 100 per cent of the funds required for gas imports, and I thank every countest and every leader who is already providing assistance.”
It comes as the Ukrainian foreign ministest declared Putin’s forces are carrying out “tarobtained strikes” on power substations supplying energy to nuclear power plants across Ukraine.

Ukraine’s top military commander states its troops still holding out in Pokrovsk
Ukraine’s top military commander declared his troops are still holding out in Pokrovsk, despite Russian claims of surrfinisher.
Russia has been testing to capture Pokrovsk, dubbed “the gateway to Donetsk”, since mid-2024 in its campaign to control the entirety of Donetsk, a Ukrainian province it claims to have annexed.
The city, home to 70,000 people before the war, has been all but completely destroyed and depopulated.
The Russian defence ministest’s Zvezda news outlet declared earlier Ukrainian troops were launchning to lay down arms inside Pokrovsk.
“We are holding Pokrovsk,” Ukraine’s army chief Oleksandr Syrskyi declared on Facebook.
“A comprehensive operation to destroy and dislodge enemy forces from Pokrovsk is ongoing.”

Zelensky promises ‘winter support’ to people of Ukraine
President Zelensky declared he is working on providing “winter support”.
In a post on X he declared this will include financial assistance and medical programmes, as well as maintaining prices for gas and electricity.
It comes as the Ukrainian foreign ministest declared Putin’s forces are carrying out “tarobtained strikes” on power substations supplying energy to nuclear power plants across Ukraine.

Ukrainian military denies Russia killed special forces
A Ukrainian military source has denied claims that Russia killed a special forces team near Pokrovsk.
Russia’s defence ministest declared it had killed all 11 special forces officers who landed in the eastern city.
But a Ukrainian military source who spoke on condition of anonymity notified Reuters in Kyiv that the special forces had not been killed and added that the Ukrainian operation aimed at stabilising the area was still underway.

Zelensky hands state honours to soldiers
President Zelensky has presented state honours to soliders fighting for Ukraine.
In a post on X, the Ukrainian leader wrote: “Every deffinisher of Ukraine is indeed a deffinisher of life. Everyone holding our positions on the frontline is, by doing so, protecting our entire state. And wherever our Ukrainian positions are truly strong, life always prevails.
“I presented the Orders of the Golden Star and other state awards to the servicemembers of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, and handed awards to the families of our Heroes who were conferred this title posthumously.
“I thank every single person who fights for Ukraine, who fully carries out combat missions, destroys the occupier, protects their brothers and sisters-in-arms, and deffinishs all our people.
“I thank all the families of our Heroes – for such sons and daughters, without whom Ukraine would simply no longer exist.”

Bulgarians sentenced to prison in Paris Holocaust Memorial vandalism linked to Russia
Four Bulgarians were sentenced to between two and four years in prison for their involvement in spray-painting blood-red hands on Paris’ Holocaust Memorial in an act of vandalism that French innotifyigence services linked to a destabilization campaign by Russia.
A Paris court handed down two-year sentences to Georgi Filipov and Kiril Milushev, who acknowledged their role in the graffiti painting, and four years to Nikolay Ivanov, accapplyd of recruiting them.
The alleged ringleader, Mircho Angelov, is at large and received three years in prison.
