EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has reaffirmed that Jordan is one of the European Union’s closest and most trusted partners in the Middle East. Following this year’s Jordanian-European summit and the launch of a security and defense dialogue between the two sides, Kallas described Jordan as “a pillar of stability.” During her visit, she met with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to discuss ongoing US-Iran peace talks and explore how the current truce could be transformed into lasting peace.

Ammon News – The EU’s foreign and security policy chief, Kaja Kallas, confirmed that the European Union continues to deepen its relations with Jordan, following the Jordanian-European summit held this year and the launch of the security and defense dialogue between the two sides.

In a post on her official Instagram account, Kallas declared that Jordan is a pillar of stability and one of the EU’s closest and most trusted partners in the Middle East.

With Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, I spoke about the US-Iran peace talks and how the current truce can be turned into a more lasting peace, Kallas added.
