EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has reaffirmed that Jordan is one of the European Union’s closest and most trusted partners in the Middle East. Following this year’s Jordanian-European summit and the launch of a security and defense dialogue between the two sides, Kallas described Jordan as “a pillar of stability.” During her visit, she met with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to discuss ongoing US-Iran peace talks and explore how the current truce could be transformed into lasting peace.
