New York-based enterprise AI firm Verneek will open its first European office in Luxembourg, anchoring a regional push aimed at retailers, luxury houses, and consumer brands across the continent.
The decision, pending final agreements, positions Luxembourg as Verneek’s European headquarters and springboard for wider market entry. Company leaders point to the country’s location, multilingual business ecosystem, transport links to key markets, and policy alignment with EU regulations as deciding factors.
Verneek builds an AI-native operating platform that unifies data and institutional knowledge across merchandising, planning, store operations, clienteling, e-commerce, and executive decision-making. The expansion brings those capabilities closer to consumer businesses juggling multiple markets, languages, sales channels, and customer segments.
“Companies across the sector face mounting operational headwinds, the kinds of challenges our AI-native operating platform is designed to address,” said Dr. Nasrin Mostafazadeh, co-founder and CEO. “We are excited to support our European retail partners more closely as we work to establish our first European office.”
Founded in 2021, the company targets consumer-facing industries specifically. Its platform serves as a centralized intelligence layer connecting front- and back-office systems that previously operated in silos.
Verneek reports its technology now supports tens of millions of consumers and several hundred thousand employees. Consumer enterprises deploy the platform for supply chain, merchandise planning, marketing, store operations, customer care, e-commerce search, and product discovery.
The European move coincides with Verneek’s fifth anniversary. Mostafazadeh said the regional base will strengthen support for existing European partners while laying groundwork for further international growth.
Investor and board expertise backs the expansion. Philippe Schaus, former president and global CEO of Moët Hennessy and former global chairman of DFS Group, now serves as a director of Exemplar Luxury Group. Nils Smedegaard Andersen, chair of ASML’s Supervisory Board and former group chief executive of A.P. Møller-Mærsk, also ranks among the company’s supporters.
Luxembourg officials see practical benefits. “Verneek’s intention to establish its first European office in Luxembourg represents an opportunity to build local expertise and assist European businesses put artificial intelligence to practical use,” said Luc Decker, consul general of Luxembourg in New York.
Verneek, headquartered in New York City and founded by AI scientists, works with Fortune 500 consumer enterprises. The Luxembourg operation gives the company its first permanent European base as it deepens relationships with retailers, fashion and luxury companies, and other consumer businesses region-wide.
