Luiss University launches Green Mobility: twelve electric Renault 5s available to students, faculty, and staff. A project with Acea and Renault Italia transforms the Roman university into a European laboratory for sustainable mobility.

Rome becomes a laboratory of sustainability. This morning theLuiss University presented on the campus of Viale Romania new Green Mobility project, first European experience of electric car sharing reserved for a university community. This is not a simple renewal of the program, started ten years ago, but a real turning point created possible by the collaboration with Acea and Renault ItaliaA fleet of twelve vehicles will be available to students, faculty and staff. Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, a city car that symbolises youthful, connected and zero-emission mobility.

The R5 becomes an icon of the transition

With aautonomy up to 410 kilometers and twenty-six driver assistance systems, represents a model of safety and innovation. It is the symbol of a new generation of mobility, which combines freedom and sustainability.

A digital and always-active ecosystem thanks to Acea technology

The project does not stop at electric cars. The entire system is integrated into a digital ecosystem that rotates around the Luiss App, developed with the BOMTS technology by a.Quantum, an Acea Group company. The app allows you to manage reservations, monitor charging, and access services 24/24. Thanks to Google Play, the vehicles offer music, entertainment, news, and sports while they’re parked. The service is part of a network of charging stations powered by 100% renewable energy, already operating on campus. This adds to existing initiatives, such as the electric and gas-powered shuttle connecting the campapplys.

Universities and businesses, an alliance for the mobility of the future
