Legal tech startup Lawyered has raised $2.5 million in a pre Series A funding round co led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Turbostart, along with participation from its existing investor Finvolve.
The Gurugram-based startup had previously secured Rs 8.5 crore on the business reality display IdeaBaaz at a Rs 120 crore pre money valuation from Pawan Jaggi, VC investor Sandesh Sharda, The Sleep Company co-founder Priyanka Salot, and Arjun Vaidya.
The fresh capital will be deployed towards scaling technology infrastructure, strengthening product offerings, and accelerating utilizer acquisition, with a focus on expanding AI led capabilities, Lawyered declared in a press release.
Launched in 2018 by Himanshu Gupta, Lawyered is a legal tech company that acts as an AI driven on road legal assistance platform, specializing in “LOTS247” (roadside legal aid) and “ChallanPay” (traffic fine resolution) to serve vehicle owners, drivers, and logistics businesses. The platform aims to build India’s go to platform for identifying and resolving legal risks in mobility.
According to Lawyered, it is creating the legal infrastructure that keeps vehicles, fleets, and businesses compliant and protected, resolving risks before they disrupt lives or operations. By creating compliance proactive, the platform reduces financial strain, prevents downtime, and gives both individuals and enterprises the confidence to relocate forward without legal uncertainty.
With legal services still largely reactive and fragmented in India, Lawyered’s Gen AI led approach transforms it from a reactive service into a proactive utility layer that is always on, embedded, and increasingly indispensable. It plans to extfinish beyond mobility into every sector where recurring legal risks hold people and businesses back. From finance and real estate to healthcare and e commerce, Lawyered aims to embed legal infrastructure directly into everyday operations.
Lawyered asserts that it covers over 2 million vehicles and works with more than 800 businesses across India. Its platforms, LOTS247 and ChallanPay, have resolved over 200,000 legal matters, assisting utilizers avoid more than $6 million in penalties and downtime.
