A major European Union-backed initiative in Armenia will open four leadership positions in Yerevan starting September 2026, placing the Goethe-Institut at the helm of a wide-ranging cultural diplomacy effort.
These roles emerge as the EU deepens its institutional footprint across the Eastern Partnership region. The programme channels investment into local cultural networks, youth programmes, and environmental public outreach. Designed as a collaborative framework, it links the EU Delegation, EUNIC cluster members, Armenian civil society groups, and government stakeholders under one operational umbrella.
The flagship vacancy, Team Lead, carries full strategic and operational responsibility. This person steers coherence across all project components, manages implementation timelines, nurtures stakeholder relationships, and directs reporting and quality control systems.
Three additional specialists will anchor distinct pillars of the programme. A Project Manager for Culture and Sustainability will design and execute activities bridging creative industries with ecological awareness. A separate Project Manager for Youth takes ownership of programming aimed at boosting participation among young Armenians. Meanwhile, the Financial and Administrative Manager will safeguard fiscal integrity, enforce donor compliance rules, coordinate grant distribution, and keep daily operations humming.
All four posts come with detailed scopes of work published through the Goethe-Institut’s official channels. Candidates face a firm cutoff: applications must arrive by 23 August 2026.
As the EU expands its people-to-people engagement model eastward, these appointments signal a shift toward locally embedded, institution-led programming. The recruits stepping into these positions will shape how European cultural cooperation looks on the ground in Armenia for years to come.
