A new online platform launching this September aims to connect European and Indian companies working in artificial intelligence and digital technology, with Cypriot firms receiving a direct invitation to participate.
The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve), which coordinates the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Cyprus, announced the initiative ahead of a launch webinar scheduled for September 4, 2026. The event runs from 10:30am to 12:30pm Central European Time, matching 2pm to 4pm Indian Standard Time.
The EU-India AI & Digital Innovation Access Platform represents a joint effort between the EEN Digital Sector Group and EEN India, operating through Global Business Inroads (GBI). Organizers designed the platform to give European technology providers, companies, and R&D organizations structured access to India’s fast-growing digital economy.
A central goal involves helping European organizations treat India as a strategic base for building AI capabilities. That includes establishing AI-enabled Global Capability Centres (GCCs), which have evolved beyond operational support into innovation hubs handling enterprise AI, product engineering, and intellectual property development.
Meanwhile, European businesses continue struggling with scaling challenges, integration issues, talent shortages, and cost pressures. India offers a solution through its expanding workforce skilled in AI, data science, cloud computing, engineering, and cybersecurity. The country now hosts more than 1,500 GCCs and boasts mature digital infrastructure, competitive scaling costs, and supportive innovation policies.
The platform targets what organizers describe as a gap in structured engagement between European AI innovators and Indian counterparts. Focus areas include technology partnerships, co-development projects, GCC expansion, and market entry support. Small and medium-sized European enterprises will receive particular attention.
Webinar participants can expect an overview of India’s AI landscape, talent resources, and collaboration opportunities. Bilateral one-to-one meetings with the EEN India-GBI team will also be available for companies seeking deeper business connections.
Keve emphasized that the online format allows Cypriot companies to explore these opportunities without traveling to India. Registration remains open through the webinar link provided in the Chamber’s announcement.
