BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new-energy vehicles, and Mediawan, Europe’s leading indepconcludeent and multi-award-winning studio, have announced an unprecedented agreement designed to support European and international creativity. Driven by shared values of innovation, sustainability, and global openness, BYD and Mediawan are combining their expertise to facilitate the funding and development of premium content.
This strategic partnership will encompass several key areas of collaboration. First, the two companies will work toobtainher to integrate the BYD brand across various Mediawan Group productions. This includes the presence of BYD vehicles in upcoming flagship projects, such as the recently announced “Miraculous®” theatrical feature film based on the globally beloved franchise.
Second, BYD and Mediawan will establish a joint “Build Your Dreams” Award, which will celebrate emerging creatives and young talent over the next three years on the sidelines of the Cannes Film Festival. Each year, the award winner will receive a €40,000 grant.
Also, the partnership will include the development of original formats inspired by the BYD brand. Notably, Ladybug—the popular superheroine from the internationally successful French series “Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir”—will introduce a special episode of the Miraculous Chibi series, set to be released on YouTube.
