Binastra Corp Bhd closed its second quarter of fiscal year 2027 with revenue jumping 65.9% year over year to RM658.4 million, a performance that underscores the contractor’s accelerating grip on Malaysia’s data centre construction wave.
The quarter ended July 31, 2026, and the numbers paint a picture of broad based momentum. Profit before tax climbed 89.7% to RM71.3 million. Profit after tax and minority interests followed suit, rising 78.1% to RM50.6 million.
Across the first half, the trajectory steepened further. Revenue nearly doubled, up 93.4% to RM1.3 billion. That top line surge pushed profit before tax to RM122.1 million, a 73% gain. Patami reached RM85.9 million, up 60.4% from the same window a year earlier.
Management attributed the outperformance squarely to its construction division. Conventional building contracts and data centre projects generated RM560.8 million in quarterly revenue, an increase of RM164.2 million compared with the prior year period.
Shareholders will see a direct benefit. The board declared a first interim dividend of four sen per share for FY27, which totals roughly RM43.8 million. Payment lands on October 16, 2026.
The results arrive as Malaysian contractors compete aggressively for hyperscale data centre work, a sector that rewards speed and technical capacity. Binastra’s ability to convert that demand into margin expansion suggests the pipeline remains firmly in its favor heading into the second half.
