A Swiss preventive healthcare startup just accelerated its expansion plans by two years through a strategic acquisition.
Aeon has closed a seed extension round while simultaneously absorbing the core assets of Aware Health, a Berlin-based blood diagnostics platform. The combined funding and acquisition position the company to scale its AI-driven health check-up model across Europe faster than originally projected.
The deal brings Aeon’s total seed funding past $14 million. Araya Ventures co-led the round, joined by existing backers including Concentric, GoHub Ventures, Kadmos Capital, Calm/Storm Ventures, N&V Capital, and Bigwave Capital.
Aeon operates as the first European platform offering continuous longitudinal health monitoring through a single product. The approach pairs whole-body MRI imaging with recurring blood diagnostics. AI models then process both data streams to create personalised risk assessments updated every quarter.
That integration matters significantly. MRI scans provide structural snapshots, while blood tests reveal ongoing biological shifts. Aeon’s algorithms detect deviations early and predict individual health risks before disease manifests.
The numbers back up the model. More than 90% of Aeon check-ups uncover actionable findings for customers, with a significant finding rate of 15.4%.
“Imaging informs you where you are. Blood diagnostics inform you where you are heading. AI is what connects the two into prediction,” said Tim Seithe, Founder and CEO of Aeon.
The Aware Health acquisition adds a fully regulated diagnostics stack, live laboratory integrations, and over 45 blood-draw locations. Nearly 10,000 active customers used the platform, which offered more than 100 biomarkers across preventive health panels.
Crucially, the deal also delivers a longitudinal biomarker dataset built from recurring testing. That data serves as training material for Aeon’s predictive health models.
Aeon has hired Pablo Tano as AI Lead to spearhead development of this intelligent layer. Tano brings expertise in reinforcement learning from brain research and will guide models that read across imaging, blood biomarkers, and genetic data.
Customer data from Aware Health transfers only with explicit individual consent under GDPR requirements.
Rupa Popat, Founding and Managing Partner at Araya Ventures, framed the investment in direct terms: “The combination of imaging, recurring blood diagnostics, and AI creates a longitudinal health picture that no other platform in Europe offers.”
The integration work begins immediately, funded by the fresh capital.
