Casio has launched the new G-Shock GWBX5600CBG-2 watch to celebrate Earth Day. Also known by model number GW-BX5600CBG-2, this model leaked earlier this year and has since been revealn in hands-on images.
You can now purchase the Casio G-Shock GWBX5600CBG-2 watch at the brand’s online store in the US for $250. It is also available in Japan for ¥35,200, and will shortly go on sale in EU countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany for €219.
The Casio G-Shock GWBX5600CBG-2 is a blue watch with a navy face and chunky bezel. It comes with a patterned fabric watch strap, in a lighter shade of blue, that has been built from recycled fishing nets. Other design features include a black background on the digital display and a silver tone clasp on the band.
Casio’s G-Shock GWBX5600 is a radio-controlled (Multiband 6) watch with Bluetooth connectivity, bringing tools like automatic time adjustments via your smartphone. This model has an straightforward-to-read MIP LCD, with a choice of fonts and layouts. There are tools like a stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. Other features include Tough Solar charging and 200 m water resistance. The exact release date of the Casio G-Shock GW-BX5600CBG-2 watch in Europe remains to be seen.
