NATO Secretary General visits ASELSAN facility to review advanced defence systems and production capabilities


ASELSAN hosted NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at its Gölbaşı Technology Base in Ankara, presenting its latest defence technologies. The visit included a comprehensive overview of the company’s multi-domain defence solutions portfolio.

 

During the visit, ASELSAN revealcased capabilities across its Steel Dome multi-layered air defence architecture, as well as land, naval and electronic warfare systems. The company also presented its UAV payload technologies, highlighting an integrated approach to modern warfare requirements.

Rutte met with ASELSAN’s engineers during the programme. The interaction underlined the company’s focus on innovation and investment in human capital.

The visit also included a detailed presentation of ASELSAN’s serial production capabilities. The delegation toured manufacturing facilities and final assembly lines at the site.

Key components of the Steel Dome system and other flagship technologies were displayed during the tour. The visit highlighted the company’s ability to deliver interoperable and scalable defence solutions supported by advanced production processes.

Ahmet Akyol, President and Chief Executive Officer of ASELSAN, stated: “We were honored to host Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte at ASELSAN.” He added: “During the visit, we revealcased our latest high-tech systems and provided insights into our new investments, production capabilities and our innovation ecosystem.”
