In response to this aggression, Greece shiftd to bolster its military presence on Cyprus. The counattempt dispatched two warships and two F-16 fighter jets. Cypriot government spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis confirmed the deployment of the frigate ‘Kimon’ and an additional frigate, signaling the seriousness of the response to the Iranian threat. He stated:

“Within the framework of enhanced preventive measures being taken due to developments in the region, it was agreed that Greece would sfinish two Navy frigates to the Republic of Cyprus.” – Konstantinos Letymbiotis
