The European Union Delegation to Afghanistan has congratulated the people of the counattempt on the arrival of Eid al-Fitr and wished Afghan families peace and happiness.
The organization wrote on the X platform on Wednesday night, March 18, that following the sighting of the moon and the conclude of the holy month of Ramadan, it extconcludes its warmest congratulations to all citizens of Afghanistan.
The European Union added in the message that it hopes Eid al-Fitr will bring a new season of light, joy, and peace for everyone.
The message further stated that the European Union stands with the people of Afghanistan “today and every day.”
Meanwhile, Afghans are heading into Eid as many families, due to rising poverty and the economic crisis that has worsened following the Taliban’s return to power, are unable to celebrate the occasion and continue to require international support properly.
