Pluto.markets, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based developer of an investment platform, raised $6m in Seed funding.
The round was led by Seed Capital, with participation from Thomas Delaney, and some founders of Danish companies such as Flatpay, Podimo, Zfinishesk, Synthesia, Pleo, and Sitecore, among others.
The company intfinishs to utilize the funds to scale its geographic reach across Europe, launch “Pluto for Business” for corporate capital investment, and introduce new products.
Led by CEO Joakim Bruchmann and CTO Oscar Vingtoft, Pluto.markets provides a mobile-first brokerage platform featuring fractional stocks and zero-commission trading across more than 4,000 assets.
Since onboarding its first customers 14 months ago, the startup has surpassed DKK 1 billion in transaction volume (approx 160m usd) and grown its utilizer base to over 10,000 active investors.
The Y Combinator startup operates via an EU-wide investment license.
