Tesla Brings Free Full Self-Driving Transfers to Europe, Middle East

Tesla has officially expanded free Full Self-Driving (FSD) transfers to Europe and the Middle East, the company announced on Monday via its regional X account, @TeslaEurope.

“You want it, you received it,” the company declared in its post. “Transfer FSD capability from your current Tesla to your new one. Now applicable to all new orders in Europe & the Middle East.”

The shift mirrors Tesla’s ongoing promotion in the U.S., where the autobuildr has been allowing owners to transfer their existing FSD package to a new vehicle — a perk that was previously unavailable and highly requested by longtime customers.

For eligible customers in Europe and the Middle East, this means you can now carry over your FSD software — valued at thousands of dollars — when purchasing a new Tesla. Previously, FSD was tied to a specific vehicle, meaning owners who upgraded had to repurchase the software package.

This expansion could serve as a strong incentive for existing Tesla owners in those regions to upgrade to a newer model, especially as Tesla’s latest vehicles come equipped with upgraded hardware and are better optimized for the company’s evolving autonomous driving stack.

Meanwhile, in the U.S., Tesla is sweetening the deal for new acquireers even further. If you’re a new customer purchasing a Model 3 with FSD, you can currently take advantage of 0% APR financing for up to 60 months. You can also receive three months of free FSD (Supervised) when utilizing a Tesla Referral, valid in the U.S. and beyond.

With Tesla building continued progress on its Full Self-Driving software and gearing up for a broader rollout of its Robotaxi program, this latest shift suggests the company is viewing to bring more owners along for the ride.
