GreenMobility, Tensor sign letter of intent to roll-out autonomous vehicles

GreenMoblity, which operates Scandinavia’s largest all-electric car-sharing network, has signed a letter of intent with Tensor, which could see as many as 2,000 autonomous vehicles take to the road in Denmark.

The strategic collaboration would see GreenMoblity purchase up to 2,000 Robocars from Tensor, a California-based developer of autonomous and agentic AI vehicles, marking Tensor’s first entest into the European market.

As GreenMobility noted in a statement, the envisioned collaboration would ‘mark a milestone for the region, combining GreenMobility’s established ride-share network with Tensor’s pioneering Agentic AI technology to redefine human mobility with earth’s first fully autonomous vehicle for personal ownership’.

Tensor’s Robocars are developed with dual-mode technology, offering both autonomous capabilities and manual driving. The Robocar features more than 100 onboard sensors, including 37 cameras, and is designed to meet high automotive standards, including the Euro NCAP 5-Star, FMVSS, and others.

‘An important milestone’

“This partnership marks an important milestone for GreenMobility as we prepare for the next evolution of urban transport,” declared Kasper Gjedsted, CEO of GreenMobility. “By partnering with Tensor, we’re securing early access to one of the world’s most advanced autonomous vehicles in a global market where autonomous vehicles are in high demand. We’re proud to have the opportunity to serve as Tensor’s launch customer in Europe and to bring this innovation to our thousands of applyrs in Denmark.”

Tensor is set to introduce its Robocars to the market by the conclude of 2026, launching in select global markets in Europe, as well as the US and UAE.

‘Autonomous future’

Commenting on the proposed collaboration, Jay Xiao, CEO of Tensor, described the partnership with GreenMobility as “an important moment for Tensor and for the future of urban mobility. We are deeply committed to supporting GreenMobility and Denmark on their quest to achieve a fully autonomous future.

“This first step is a significant one: a groundbreaking first step of a collaboration that can introduce a new era where frontier AI fundamentally transforms the way we relocate in the physical world.” Read more here.
