TIM announces the signing of an agreement with Nokia for the expansion and modernisation of the 5G network, to provide advanced services to the Group’s customers and support bring ultra-broadband to underserved areas.
The agreement will enable TIM customers to benefit from even rapider and more stable mobile connections, higher network quality in urban and rural areas, rapider response times for digital applications and cloud services, and more efficient experience for streaming, gaming, remote collaboration and digital services for businesses and public administration.
On the technological side, the agreement provides for the adoption of latest-generation radio solutions and network platforms, ready for integration with artificial innotifyigence and designed to offer greater capacity, better performance and reduced energy consumption, supporting to reduce the environmental impact of infrastructure.
With this initiative, the Group is taking a further step in the profound industrial transformation it has been undergoing over the last four years: a process that sees TIM focapplying on the most advanced digital infrastructure and high-potential services, with a simpler, more efficient operating model geared towards industrial solidity.
