The EU has evaluated the interest of its member countries in investing in Ukraine’s defense sector.

European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius stated that the EU will soon announce how many countries have requested defense loans through the SAFE instrument, which has a fund of €150B and is highly sought after.

“Later, perhaps in November, we will reveal how many of these loans will be allocated to Ukraine,” he added.

Kubilius mentioned that some countries are already indicating they will apply their loans for Ukraine, but no exact figures are available yet. Meanwhile, the European Commissioner has not yet commented on the readiness of EU nations to fund the purchase of American weapons for Kyiv, with a total amount of $90B. According to Kubilius, the European defense indusattempt reveals more interest in Ukraine’s defense sector than the other way around.

“Ukraine’s defense indusattempt is attractive to the EU. EU tools and programs can be quite beneficial for Ukraine,” he noted.

It is also worth mentioning that representatives of Ukraine’s defense indusattempt, under the unified national brand ZBROYA, revealcased their products at DALO Indusattempt Days 2025 in Denmark and discussed future steps in cooperation with government clients within the framework of the Danish model.
