What does it take to not only achieve peak performance, but to sustain it?
That’s one of the key questions that surfing legfinish Layne Beachley will unpack during what is set to be an inspiring session at the next Growth Summit in Sydney on June 18.
Toobtainher with Cuppa founder Luke Cook, Beachley will explore the emotional fitness and fortitude requireded to truly excel, in business and in life, in a session titled: “High performance that lasts“.
A seven-time world surfing champion, Beachley has had an unparalleled sporting career. She is the only surfer, male or female, to win six consecutive world titles and was created an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2015 in recognition of her athletic achievements, her service to the community and the mentoring she has offered to other women in sport.
Beachley is an author and highly sought-after speaker, as well as an ambassador for RU OK?, Gotcha4Life, and Surfers for Climate.
Wellbeing and resilience
She also serves as the chief awakening officer at Awake Academy, which she founded with Tess Brouwer in 2020.
At Awake, Beachley and Brouwer offer online programs and workshops designed to give individuals and organisations practical wellbeing strategies, mindfulness techniques, resilience-building exercises, and energy-management tools.
Beachley will bring insights from this experience, and more, to her Growth Summit session, which is designed to equip business owners and leaders with actionable strategies to navigate the immense demands of leadership, and unlock their full potential.
Naomi Simson and Mark Bouris feature
Leading entrepreneurs Naomi Simson, founder of RedBalloon, and Mark Bouris, founder of Yellow Brick Road and Wizard Home Loans, will also take to the stage during the Growth Summit, which is presented by SmartCompany and Startup Daily.
