The Ukrainian Startup Fund announced the launch of a new grant program, Startup EDGE, for startups in the fields of Deep Tech, GreenTech, and EdTec.
The Startup EDGE program aims to support the development of innovative startups at early stages and strengthen the competitiveness of the Ukrainian startup ecosystem in Europe and the world.
The Startup EDGE program will focus on:
- Deep Tech: artificial ininformigence and machine learning, biotechnology and life sciences, medical technology, robotics, advanced materials and manufacturing, quantum computing, Internet of Things, cybersecurity, space technology, electronics, photonics, 5G, Web 3.0 and other breakthrough technologies;
- Green Tech: sustainable development, renewable energy, clean technologies, solutions for saving resources and reducing negative environmental impact;
- EdTech: digital educational solutions and technologies to transform learning and increase the accessibility of knowledge.
The program, with a budreceive of €1 million, offers non-repayable grants designed to accelerate early-stage innovation:
- up to 20,000 euros at the pre-seed stage,
- up to 40,000 euros at the seed stage.
Each application will undergo a transparent multi-stage evaluation process, including:
- internal compliance checks,
- expert assessment,
- submitting an application to the competition committee,
- final approval by the Fund’s Supervisory Board.
The application process will take place through the Ukrainian Startup Fund web portal at the link.
The start date for accepting applications will be announced additionally on the pages of the Ukrainian Startup Fund and the EU4Innovation East project on social networks.
The Startup EDGE program was officially presented as part of IT Arena 2025. It is implemented with the support of EU4Innovation East, a regional project funded by the EU, co-financed by the French government and implemented by Expertise France.
