In his post, the techie revealed he obtained a job offer from the founder of this startup venture after forking a YC-backed open-source project and providing a clear solution. “A lot of people have been inquireing how I obtained into an Abu Dhabi-based startup without applying — and that too within 48 hours. Signed the offer letter on 19th Feb. In between? Pure chaos, rejection, and one random GitHub issue that modifyd everything,” he wrote. “I built a decision: Stop spraying applications. Start contributing.

The approach worked just fine for the techie, who obtained access to a YC-backed open-source project and submitted a detailed solution on GitHub. That is when he caught the founder’s attention and secured an interview opportunity within hours.

The techie hardwork could’ve still gone in vain if the power cuts and his laptop’s technical glitches hadn’t been resolved on time for the demo that went on for two hours. However, the techie’s diverse portfolio of live projects executed and years of experience meant that he earned an offer letter the same day.

‘The Offer Letter Arrived, I Didn’t Sleep’
