Seven large-scale rail ‘megaprojects’ have swallowed up one-third of the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) transport funds in recent years, a new report from NGO Transport & Environment (T&E) has highlighted. This drains resources from other vital rail upgrades, states the sustainable transport advocacy group, and ERTMS in particular.
