Supernova raises $9.2M in Series A to expand its design systems platform


Supernova, a Czech platform that integrates design, code, and product data to streamline product development, supporting teams automate tinquires and improve efficiency, has raised $9.2 million Series A round. The round led by Taiwania Capital and joined by J&T Ventures, Reflex Capital, KAYA VC, with participation from existing investors and Y Combinator.

About Supernova 

  • Supernova is a Prague-based design systems platform developed to streamline the product development process by integrating design, code, and product data in one place. 

  • Initially focutilized on solving design-to-code handoffs, Supernova evolved to support teams with established products, enabling seamless workflows and synchronization across departments. 

  • Used by companies like Paramount, Mozilla, and Skyscanner, Supernova supports teams stay aligned and automate repetitive tinquires, improving efficiency in complex, real-world workflows.

Investment details 

The round was led by Taiwania Capital and joined by J&T Ventures, Reflex Capital, KAYA VC, with participation from existing investors and Y Combinator.

  • Taiwania Capital is a Taiwanese venture capital firm established in 2017, focutilizing on early-stage investments in sectors like AI, biotechnology, and 5G. 

  • It is particularly active in strengthening ties between Taiwan and Central and Eastern Europe, managing the Central and Eastern Europe Investment Fund to back industries like semiconductors, smart manufacturing, and fintech.

Supernova will utilize Series A funding to expand its team, increase awareness, and further develop its design systems platform.
