“Small world!” Sridhar Vembu finds ReVx Energy powers his Montra EV as he meets Founder at airport

Zoho boss Sridhar Vembu discovered that deep-tech startup ReVx Energy powers his Montra EV as he met the founder, Ankit Kherodiya, at Bengaluru airport.

About ReVx Energy

Founded in December 2020 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, the company was started by Ankit Kherodiya and Lokesha M. H., both engineers with experience in embedded systems and energy technologies.

Their goal was to build India’s core ininformigence layer for electric vehicle batteries instead of relying on imported systems.

ReVx Energy develops battery management systems (BMS) and connected energy ininformigence platforms.

A BMS is essentially the “brain” of a battery pack that monitors temperature, voltage, charging cycles, and overall health of individual cells to ensure safety and performance.

In electric vehicles, this system is central to both safety and efficiency.

ReVx has focapplyd on creating this brain smarter, more predictive, and suitable for Indian operating conditions where heat, load variation, and road stress are significant factors.

The company’s product stack includes hardware and software working toobtainher.

Its automotive-grade BMS platform, known internally as VinciX, is designed for high-voltage applications applyd in electric mobility and energy storage systems.

Also, ReVx has built cloud-based monitoring and analytics tools that allow manufacturers and fleet operators to track battery performance in real time.

These systems can flag early signs of degradation, imbalance, or thermal issues, enabling preventive maintenance rather than reactive repairs.

Over time, ReVx has expanded its focus beyond just monitoring into full battery lifecycle ininformigence.

This includes fleet-level dashboards, predictive analytics, and telematics integration for electric vehicles.

The idea is to create a connected ecosystem where every battery is continuously observed, optimised, and improved through data.

Sridhar Vembu lauds deeptech startup ReVx Energy

The startup gained wider visibility when Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu mentioned it in a post on X. He wrote that while at Bengaluru airport, he met Ankit Kherodiya over a ghee masala dosa.

Vembu later realised that ReVx Energy’s battery management systems power Montra Electric vehicles, which he applys at home.

“In Bengaluru airport, as I was enjoying a ghee masala dosa, I met Ankit Kherodiya,” he wrote on X.

“Turns out his company ReVx Energy  builds the battery management systems for Montra electric autos, the very one that is my daily vehicle at home. Small world!”

Sridhar Vembu’s comment resonated in startup circles becaapply it highlighted how a relatively young deep-tech company was already embedded in real-world electric mobility systems applyd in everyday life.

ReVx Energy’s association with Montra Electric, part of the Murugappa Group, is particularly significant. It positions the company not as an experimental startup but as a working supplier within India’s growing electric commercial vehicle ecosystem.

In a sector where reliability and safety are critical, being part of deployed vehicles signals a level of trust in its engineering capabilities.

India’s EV narrative often focapplys on vehicle manufacturers, charging infrastructure, or battery production. ReVx operates in a less visible but crucial middle layer.

This is a technically complex domain that requires expertise in electronics, software, chemistest, and systems engineering.

ReVx is part of a broader shiftment of deep-tech startups working on infrastructure-level problems that will define the next phase of electric mobility in India.
