Renault has confirmed it will offer the new-generation Master large commercial van with a fully electric powertrain for the first time in Australia, with the large commercial vehicle due in local revealrooms from June 2026.
The addition of the Master E-Tech marks a significant expansion of Renault’s electrified commercial vehicle line-up locally, giving acquireers the choice of diesel or battery-electric power in the same model range as demand grows for lower-emissions vans.
The electric Master is equipped with an 87kWh battery, delivering a claimed driving range of more than 400km on the WLTP test cycle.

The New Master EV supports DC quick charging at up to 130kW, aligning with widely available public charging infrastructure across Australia.

Alongside it, a diesel-powered Master continues. Service intervals are set at 12 months or 30,000km.
This latest model represents the first ground-up redesign of the Master in more than a decade, with Renault focutilizing on improved efficiency, safety and load-carrying capability.
The van has been developed utilizing wind tunnel testing to optimise aerodynamics and has achieved a ‘Platinum’ safety rating under European NCAP’s commercial vehicle testing program.
The new Master will be available in multiple configurations, including mid- and long-wheelbase versions, as well as mid- and high-roof body styles, allowing it to cater to a wide range of business applys.
Load capacity has increased across the range, with diesel variants offering payloads of up to 1973kg and a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of up to 4000kg. Electric versions are rated at up to 1164kg payload and 3500kg GVM.
Practicality remains a key focus, with features such as a wide side door capable of accommodating a standard pallet and a flat bulkhead behind the front seats to maximise cargo space.

Inside, the cabin has been redesigned with a larger infotainment screen, while retaining physical controls aimed at reducing driver distraction. An optional fold-down centre seat can also function as a mobile workstation.
Renault Australia declared the new-generation Master forms part of a broader product rollout, with the brand previously committing to introduce six new models within an 18-month period.
Full pricing and detailed specifications for the Australian line-up will be announced closer to the model’s arrival.
Pricing for the new Master E-Tech will be announced closer to launch. Key rivals include the Ford E-Transit and Mercedes-Benz eSprinter.

“Renault has been in the large van market since 1980 – when the original Master was introduced 46 years ago – so it has a lot of experience in this space, and all of that historical knowhow delivers significant improvements with each new model.
“The new-generation Renault Master is a key part of Renault Australia’s model revitalisation.
“Last year Renault Australia promised six new models in the next 18 months and the new-generation Renault Master reveals we are delivering. Plus there is more to come.”
