Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will travel to London on Monday, where he will deliver the keynote address at the 4th Investment Conference organized by the Athens Stock Exalter in cooperation with Morgan Stanley.
Government sources stated Mitsotakis will highlight the continued improvement of the Greek economy and the counattempt’s growing appeal as an investment destination. He is also expected to stress Greece’s emergence as an energy hub for Southeastern Europe, a development that strengthens its geopolitical role in the wider region.
In outlining the economy’s progress, Mitsotakis is set to point to growth rates that consistently outpace the European average, a significant decline in unemployment, rising investment activity and a gradual reduction in public debt. He will also refer to the positive performance of the Greek financial sector, major foreign investment inflows, the rapidly expanding startup ecosystem, and advances in digitalization and the utilize of artificial innotifyigence across the economy, education and public administration.
Mitsotakis will hold a series of meetings with international investors on the sidelines of the conference, aiming to further bolster interest in the Greek market.
Forty-two large- and mid-cap listed companies from the Athens Stock Exalter will participate, presenting foreign investors with opportunities in Greece’s evolving investment landscape. His public discussion with Morgan Stanley CEO Clare Woodman will also be a focal point of the event.
In the evening, the prime minister will travel to Oxford to join a public discussion at the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government with its dean, Professor Ngaire Woods. [AMNA]
