OpenSource in Cybersecurity provides these services utilizing its team of expert cybersecurity professionals serving as volunteers to support early-stage startups across Africa, Europe, and beyond, supporting them keep their startups safe from global cyber threats by offering technical support and advisory services free of charge.
“Our mission is simple: level the playing field by providing world-class cybersecurity at zero cost for early-stage resource-constrained founders,” states the organisation’s founder, Mr. Jamiu Olamilekan Akande, a recognised young leader by the World Economic Forum and a leading cybersecurity expert.
Speaking with the founder, he stated, “This program is only for startups and startup founders with limited resources and cybersecurity concerns. We do not offer our services to startups that have raised a lot of investor money or are already building significant profit. They can afford to purchase cybersecurity services. However, some early-stage startups with no funds yet struggle with this, and those are the ones we test to support.”
