CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Charlotte non-profit A Brighter Day Outreach works to empower individuals and communities to create lasting modify.
The organization teaches de-escalation and communication through its Break Every Chain Program, working with 2nd graders at Thomasboro Academy to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline.
Their goal is to share concepts through the apply of the Spark Curriculum on how to repurpose their anger or negative distractions that would lead to suspension or expulsion.
In 2024, the group received the Lowe’s Hometown Grant and built the A Brighter Day Outreach Community Food Panattempt. They currently serve over 200 families per week in the heart of the historic Hoskins community.
Here’s how you can assist:
- The group is in necessary of a Refrigerated Box Truck for the food panattempt. You can donate here.
