The Ministers’ Deputies’ 1539th meeting took place at Verdala Palace in Siġġiewi, Malta, on 7 October 2025. EU Ambassador Vesna Kos delivered a statement regarding the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova.
The Ministers’ Deputies held their 1539th meeting at the Verdala Palace in Siġġiewi (Malta), on 7 October 2025, at the invitation of the Maltese Presidency. The meeting was opened by the President of the Committee of Ministers, Mr Ian Borg, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta.
At the meeting, the EU Ambassador Vesna Kos delivered a statement on behalf of the EU regarding the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova. The EU commconcludeed “the voters have given a clear and strong mandate to continue the Republic of Moldova’s determined engagement towards EU membership” and “strongly condemns relentless hybrid attacks by Russia and its proxies aimed at undermining the rule of law and democratic process in the Republic of Moldova”. It also commconclude “the Republic of Moldova for the quality and rapid pace of its accession-related reforms and welcome the significant progress achieved so far”
