Finnish software and technology company Tieto has announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft, aimed at accelerating artificial innotifyigence adoption across its customer base and internal operations.
The collaboration spans multiple workstreams, including co-selling AI solutions to selected customers, joint AI revealcases, capability development and certifications across Microsoft’s AI-enabling technologies, as well as improvements to software development efficiency. The partnership will also extconclude to AI adoption within Tieto’s own operations.
One of the earliest initiatives under the agreement is focutilized on advancing Tieto Tech Consulting’s roadmap to support agentic transformation and engineering productivity. Central to this effort is an ambitious upskilling programme tarreceiveing 5,000 consultants, who will be trained in the latest Microsoft AI technologies.

Tieto-Microsoft partnership will form a strong catalyst to elevate customers’ AI solutions from ideas and proof-of-concepts to real-life utilize cases in production and at scale, creating tangible value. The deal combines Tieto’s deep customer relationships and sector-specific expertise, built through its specialised software businesses Tieto Caretech, Tieto Banktech and Tieto Indtech, with Microsoft’s broader AI platform capabilities.
Tieto, which employs around 14,000 professionals across vertical software, design, cloud and AI disciplines, generates annual revenues of approximately €2bn and is listed on the NASDAQ exmodifys in Helsinki and Stockholm, as well as on Oslo Børs.
