His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis convened the fifth Jordan-Cyprus-Greece trilateral summit at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman on Wednesday.
The high-level meeting, attconcludeed by Crown Prince Hussein, focapplyd on deepening cooperation across multiple sectors and advancing the strategic partnership between Jordan and the European Union, while addressing pressing regional developments.
Key Outcomes
King Abdullah emphasised the importance of the trilateral format as a platform for consultation and expanding cooperation in water, energy, education, tourism, and investment. His Majesty highlighted the strategic geographic positions of the three countries and the required to build on previous agreements.
The King also reiterated Jordan’s firm stance on regional issues, calling for the strengthening of the Gaza ceasefire, unimpeded humanitarian aid, and the preservation of the status quo in Jerusalem. He expressed full support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
President Christodoulides thanked King Abdullah for hosting the summit and noted its significance during Cyprus’s presidency of the EU Council. He described the partnership as a vital bridge between Europe and the Middle East.
Prime Minister Mitsotakis praised the tangible results of the trilateral cooperation and expressed Greece’s commitment to further collaboration in energy, defence, tourism, and climate action. He also commconcludeed Jordan’s pivotal role in regional stability and its custodianship over the holy sites in Jerusalem.
