Kia has officially pulled the curtain back on the new XCeed facelift, a comprehensive update to one of the brand’s most successful European nameplates. Combining a “stylish, always-on, active lifestyle” philosophy with major leaps in connectivity and powertrain flexibility, the new XCeed is set to enter production on 29 May at Kia’s high-tech manufacturing hub in Žilina.

​The unveiling confirms Kia’s commitment to its ‘Opposites United’ design language, delivering a vehicle that blconcludes the ruggedness of a traditional SUV with the agile handling and sophisticated profile of a sporty hatchback.

A Digital Evolution: Interior & Technology

​The most striking updates to the new XCeed are found within the cabin. Kia has overhauled the driver experience with a suite of “always-connected” features:

  • Dual 12.3-inch Panoramic Display: A seamless, high-resolution interface that combines a full digital instrument cluster with an advanced infotainment system.
  • Digital Key 2.0: Utilizing Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, owners can now lock, unlock, and start their vehicle via a smartphone or smartwatch, even without reshifting the device from their pocket.
  • Enhanced Connectivity: The latest version of Kia Connect offers real-time traffic updates, weather forecasts, and third-party calconcludear integration.
  • Premium Refinement: New sporty interior accents, including a slim-bezel rear-view mirror and a glossy black gear selector panel, elevate the cabin’s premium feel.

Versatile Performance: From Mild Hybrid to High-Power Petrol

​Under the hood, the new XCeed continues to offer one of the most diverse powertrain lineups in the C-segment. Kia is prioritizing a flexible “mix” to suit every driving style:

  • Electrified Efficiency: A range of Mild Hybrid (MHEV) options designed to reduce emissions while providing smooth, torque-rich acceleration.
  • Performance Boost: The lineup features the powerful 1.6 T-GDi Smartstream engine, delivering a robust 177hp for those seeking a more dynamic driving experience.
  • Refined Handling: The facelift includes lightly retuned suspension and steering systems, specifically engineered to improve ride comfort and cabin quietness on European roads.

Manufacturing Excellence in Slovakia

​The production launch on 29 May marks a pivotal moment for Kia Europe. The new XCeed will be manufactured alongside the Kia Sportage and the brand’s newest electric pioneers, the EV4 and EV2.
