NeoGeo, a geospatial technology firm headquartered in Gurugram, has secured $20 million in Series A funding. Neev II Fund and Aavishkaar Capital, the investment wing of Aavishkaar Group, led the round.

Despite operating in a field many associate with slow-moving government contracts, the startup has found momentum by turning raw location data into tools for climate response, infrastructure planning, and disaster preparedness. The capital arrives as demand grows for AI-driven mapping systems that can handle large, technically demanding public and private sector projects.

Founded in 2019 by Sreeramam and Brahmam, NeoGeo plans to channel the fresh funding into research and development, stronger technical teams, and expansion across the Middle East and the Americas. The company serves clients in natural resource management, urban governance, utilities, smart cities, and disaster management.

Its platforms include OptiFleet for fleet optimization, GeoBalance for natural resource tracking, UrbanVista for city planning visualization, and InfraSync for infrastructure asset management. The company works across the entire geospatial chain, combining satellite imagery, LiDAR, drones, and ground surveys with machine learning analytics.

Sreeramam G V, NeoGeo’s founder and CEO, said the team spent nearly a decade building capabilities spanning precision positioning infrastructure to AI-powered intelligence systems. He emphasized that the real value of geospatial technology lies in converting data into actionable intelligence, not merely collecting it.

Meanwhile, Anurag Agrawal, partner at Aavishkaar Capital, pointed to the persistent problem of fragmented and inaccurate land records. NeoGeo’s ability to consolidate those records into a single high-precision spatial reference frame, he said, reduces disputes and unlocks opportunities in financial inclusion, climate resilience, and public governance at scale.

The company also positions its spatial planning tools as climate mitigation assets, helping clients achieve measurable resource efficiency and carbon reductions while mapping hazards to support adaptation. With fresh capital and international ambitions, NeoGeo now faces the challenge of scaling its technology across markets with vastly different regulatory and infrastructure landscapes.
