Ethiopia and the European Union have signed a €90 million (about $96 million) financing agreement for the 2025 Annual Action Plan (AAP-2025) to support economic reforms and post-conflict recovery. The deal was signed by State Minister Semereta Sewasew and EU Ambassador Sofie From-Emmesberger.
Sewasew called the initiative “a symbolic and strategic milestone” in a long-standing partnership, while From-Emmesberger stated it aligns with Ethiopia’s Home-Grown Economic Reform Agfinisha and the Global Gateway strategy.
A Public-Private Dialogue also took place with European businesses to address regulatory challenges and strengthen investment cooperation.
