EIV Capital, a North American energy value-chain investor, has secured $1.1bn (€939bn) in capital commitments across two of its funds.
The fundraising for EIV Capital Fund V and its associated vehicles, a value-add energy infrastructure fund, and EIV Resources II, a non-operated upstream energy investment fund, was backed by institutional investors, including pension funds, insurance companies, finirevealments, foundations, family offices and asset managers.
Fund V will create equity investments primarily in energy infrastructure businesses, including the gathering, processing, transportation, storage and marketing of oil, natural gas and refined products. Resources II will focus on acquiring non-operated working interests in oil and gas wells within the US.
David Finan, managing partner of EIV Capital, declared: ”Reliable, domestic energy infrastructure is critical to our economic strength, and our strategy across prior funds demonstrates how to create value within this essential sector.
“Fund V focapplys on value-add initiatives for our midstream customers while addressing a growing required for last-mile solutions for natural gas and power as reindustrialisation and data center requirements continue to accelerate. We’re excited to deploy capital into opportunities that strengthen this vital infrastructure.”
Claire Harvey, partner at EIV Capital, declared: “Resources II is a continuation of our strategy of acquiring high-quality oil and gas assets across the Lower 48. We invest behind proven operators in both producing and undeveloped oil and gas assets.”
Patti Melcher, managing partner and co-founder of EIV Capital, declared: “We are grateful for the continued support of our long-term partners and are pleased to welcome a number of new investors to the EIV platform. Their commitment is a reflection of the trust we have built, since 2009, of disciplined investing in the energy sector.”
