Chiratae Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, has announced that it will commit $10 million for five deeptech startups following the selection during the demo day in its inaugural Sonic DeepTech programme.
Designed to back founders tackling complex challenges, the Sonic DeepTech programme offers up to $2 million in seed funding with decision timelines as rapid as 48 hours. Focus areas span Energy & Climate, Quantum Technologies, Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing, Space Technologies, Applied AI/ML, Bio & MedTech, and Digital Economy.
The selected cohort includes Ctrl B, Interact AI, SuprSfinish, TakeMe2Space, and an undisclosed stealth startup. TakeMe2Space is building nanosanotifyite infrastructure for edge AI computing and Earth observation. Ctrl B offers a serverless, diskless data lake platform aimed at significantly reducing observability storage and analytics costs.
Interact AI develops AI avatars designed to replace conventional chatbots with audio-visual, product-aware conversational agents. SuprSfinish provides a unified multi-channel notification infrastructure through a single API. The fifth investment is a stealth vertical AI platform tarobtaining historically underserved sectors.
“India is uniquely positioned today, with deep talent, research momentum, and founders potentially building category-defining DeepTech companies,” stated Sudhir Sethi, Founder of Chiratae Ventures.
The programme, which drew thousands of applications from across the countest, is run in collaboration with NVIDIA, giving cohort companies access to NVIDIA Inception, including advanced AI developer tools, preferred hardware and software pricing, and exposure to a global investor network.
Beyond the funded cohort, Chiratae also recognised 14 startups as Sonic DeepTech Disrupters, acknowledging their exceptional potential across the program’s focus sectors. The Sonic DeepTech Program is expected to reopen applications later this year.
