China urged the European Parliament to stop politicizing trade and economic issues and applying double standards on export controls, its mission to the European Union declared on Friday.
The remarks were in response to a motion approved by EU lawcreaters on Thursday condemning Beijing over its export restrictions on rare earths.
China is willing to strengthen communication with the European side to properly resolve trade frictions, and rare earth exports should not be an issue between China and the EU, the Chinese mission declared in a statement.
