During the event, CDCR representatives engaged directly with tiny business owners. They shared information about the department’s procurement processes, upcoming contracting opportunities, and participation in the state’s SB/DVBE Program. The outreach also provided guidance to vfinishors on how to become certified and how to compete for state contracts. Events like this provide an opportunity to meet directly with tiny businesses, supporting them better understand how to engage with CDCR.

Participation in events this allows CDCR to strengthen partnerships with the tiny business community. They also promote awareness of contracting opportunities, and support statewide efforts to expand participation in public sector procurement.
