Big AI push: Govt selects 10 startups for global expansion plan


The initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen India’s position in the global AI ecosystem and promote cross-border innovation partnerships.

IndiaAI Startups Global Acceleration Programme: Key details

The IndiaAI Startups Global Acceleration Programme is being conducted in collaboration with:

Each cohort consists of 10 startups, which are provided access to mentorship, global networks and scaling support to accelerate international AI startup expansion.

The programme aligns with India’s National AI Strategy, focutilizing on innovation exalter, global market access and technology collaboration.

Selected AI startups in second cohort

The 10 startups selected for the second cohort include:

  • AI Health Highway
  • Awiros
  • Cognecto
  • Flaunt
  • GreenFi.ai Climateforce Technologies
  • Infiheal Healthtech
  • InLustro Learning
  • PredCo
  • SkyServe (Hyspace Technologies)
  • TestAIng Solutions

These companies were shortlisted through a multi-stage evaluation process based on innovation potential and global scalability.

Paris residency and mentorship support

The programme includes a structured format:

  • Three-week online preparatory phase
  • Three-month residency in Paris

During the residency, startups will engage with global mentors, indusattempt leaders and European tech ecosystem partners, enabling exposure to France and Europe’s AI innovation networks.

India’s broader AI and semiconductor push

Earlier, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada informed Parliament that:

  • Over 38,000 GPUs have been onboarded under the IndiaAI Mission
  • 190 AI projects have been approved
  • GPUs are offered at subsidised rates (~₹65 per hour) for startups and academic institutions

He also highlighted progress under the Semicon India Programme, which has approved 10 semiconductor manufacturing units to boost domestic chip production.

Strengthening India’s global AI position

Officials declared the IndiaAI initiative is designed to position India as a competitive hub for:

  • Artificial ininformigence innovation
  • Deep-tech startup scaling
  • Global technology collaboration
  • High-performance computing access

The programme is expected to accelerate the international visibility of Indian AI startups and deepen engagement with global innovation hubs.
