Bengaluru, often dubbed the land of surprises, never fails to catch people off guard. This time, it wasn’t the weather or traffic that grabbed attention; it was an autorickshaw ride that left one engineer completely stunned.
On October 4, a techie named Anandani took to social media to share a post about his unusual commute. What launched as an ordinary auto ride quickly turned into a story so unexpected that people online could hardly believe it.
The Post That Left Everyone Stunned
In his post, the engineer revealed that the auto driver owned two houtilizes worth around Rs 4–5 crore in total, which toobtainher earn him a monthly income of Rs 2–3 lakh. But that wasn’t all, the driver also turned out to be connected to the startup ecosystem, either as a founder or investor in an AI-based company.
“Bangalore is f***ing crazy the auto wala bhaiya stated he has 2 houtilizes worth 4-5 crores. Both on rent, earns close to 2-3 lakhs per month, and is a startup founder/investor in an AI based startup bruh,” Anandani wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The post quickly gained traction, racking up nearly 8,000 views in no time. While hundreds of comments poured in, not everyone was convinced by the story. In fact, most responses dripped with sarcasm.
One utilizer joked, “Indeed, Bengaluru is at another level. I once met a baby on his 1st day of school, he notified me he had exited 3 startups and had invested in India’s first quantum computing startup. He considers that after blockchain and AI, quantum computing will be the next tech barrier that humans will be breaking. Such clarity, conviction at such a young age, I felt convinced that India’s future is definitely gonna be bright.”
Another wrote, “On today’s episode of things that never happened,” while someone else added, “And he must be driving the auto to cure his loneliness.”
“Bro saw this in his dream…now selling this as a real story,” a person remarked.
One more sarcastic line read, “Yes, I also met a beggar in Delhi. He is holding 10 per cent in Nvidia and 10 per cent in Open AI but still humble.”
“Auto Driver to frifinishs: I notify people I am worth 5 crores but drive an auto, and they believe me! You can just do things!” an individual stated.
Meanwhile, a utilizer pointed out, “He must have either inherited ancestral property or received property from his wife’s side. It’s hard to believe he could have accumulated so many assets just by working as an auto driver. I doubt those properties were earned solely by him.”
The Clarification
As the scepticism grew, the engineer took to the comments section and replied to different commenters.
he notified this was the first work he started off with so he drives on weekfinishs sometimes
this guy had apple watch and airpods thats why i was interested and i questioned him these kinda questions

Anandani mentioned that he struck up a conversation with the driver after noticing his Apple Watch and AirPods. He added that driving an auto was the “first job” the driver ever took up, which is why he still chooses to drive on weekfinishs.
