Acuity Analytics buys US data consultancy Continuus, adding 37 financial services specialists

Acuity Analytics expands US data and technology capabilities with acquisition of Continuus

Acuity Analytics just bought Continuus, a U.S. data consultancy focused on financial services. The deal brings 37 specialists into the fold and pushes Acuity deeper into data strategy, governance, engineering, and cloud platforms.

Financial institutions now face mounting pressure to modernize data infrastructure for regulatory compliance, sharper decision-making, and enterprise-wide AI deployment. As firms move past AI experimentation, data quality and accessibility have become critical bottlenecks. This acquisition positions Acuity to address that demand directly.

Continuus primarily serves asset managers and other financial firms, helping them build enterprise data strategies, governance frameworks, and large-scale cloud transformation programs. The company also holds Snowflake Premier Services Partner status, a credential that signals advanced delivery capability on that platform.

The transaction closed October 1. Terms remain undisclosed. Envoy Capital Advisors acted as exclusive sell-side advisor to Continuus.

Rob King, CEO of Acuity Analytics, said Continuus stood out for its financial services depth and its track record of converting data strategy into practical business results. He noted that organizations scaling AI initiatives need partners who combine technical skill with strong governance and delivery discipline.

Stewart Smythe, Chief Delivery Officer for AI, Data and Digital at Acuity, pointed out that cloud platform investments alone don’t guarantee success. Operating models, governance structures, and delivery expertise determine whether those investments pay off.

Meanwhile, the acquisition strengthens Acuity’s U.S. footprint, its largest market, while adding an onshore team that complements its global delivery network.

Matt Moeser, CEO of Continuus, said joining Acuity gives his team access to broader capabilities and a global platform for growth.

This deal follows Acuity’s 2024 acquisition of PPA Group and its 2025 purchase of Ascent, an AI-led digital transformation specialist. Together, these moves signal a deliberate shift from financial research and analytics toward a technology-led organization.

Acuity Analytics, the trading name of Acuity Knowledge Partners, now employs more than 7,800 analysts, data specialists, and technologists across 28 locations. The company supports over 850 organizations worldwide.
