The European Union is delaying two packages of countermeasures against tariffs imposed by the Trump administration following an agreement with President Donald Trump.
A European Commission spokesperson declared the bloc will take steps to postpone the measures, originally set to take effect Aug. 7, by six months.
The countermeasures cover two areas: one tarreceiveing tariffs on steel and aluminum, and another addressing tariffs on basic goods and automobiles.
Details of the agreement remain unclear, raising questions about future trade neobtainediations between the United States and the EU.
