European enterprises just gained a new path to deploy advanced AI without surrendering data control or locking into a single vendor. The Danish Center for AI Innovation (DCAI) and Corti, a Copenhagen-based clinical AI lab, launched Corti Models on August 20, 2026.
The platform arrives as organizations across the continent wrestle with supply disruptions and rising dependency on foreign AI providers. Recent outages of popular frontier models exposed how fragile single-provider strategies can be. Meanwhile, regulators continue tightening requirements around data residency, security, and algorithmic accountability.
Corti Models operates as a model-agnostic infrastructure layer. Enterprises can access, manage, and roll out leading AI models through a single OpenAI-compatible API. Deployment options include sovereign cloud environments and on-premises setups. The entire system runs on DCAI’s Gefion supercomputer, an NVIDIA-powered machine certified under ISO standards and governed by European rules.
Cost savings represent a core selling point. Organizations could trim AI expenditures by a factor of five to ten, according to the companies. A single contractual relationship also simplifies procurement and compliance workflows.
The initial rollout targets enterprise software development. Companies can standardize AI-assisted coding while holding centralized authority over model selection, data movement, and budget caps.
Andreas Cleve, CEO and co-founder of Corti, framed the offering as an escape from provider lock-in. European businesses need flexibility without losing grip on data, compliance, or long-term strategy, he said.
Trifork, a global software firm, signed on as an early adopter and implementation partner. CEO Jørn Larsen emphasized that customers increasingly demand digital independence paired with strict security and sovereignty guarantees.
DCAI is simultaneously expanding its compute capacity with an NVIDIA Blackwell B300 cluster. That investment positions the center to support enterprise and public-sector inference workloads across Denmark and the wider Nordic region. Corti Models is available now through Corti and its partner network.
