In January 2025, Trump was re-elected president. He announced America’s withdrawal from the Paris Agreement for the second time and restarted the “Drill, Baby, Drill” agfinisha, increasing fossil fuel extraction and depfinishence. At the same time, the weakening of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programmes and the loosening of the Securities and Exalter Commission’s (SEC) climate disclosure rules further undermined the institutional foundation of America’s ESG policies.
