Blackmagic Design, which offers a product portfolio including video editing products, cameras, colour correctors and live production switchers, has renewed its Bronze sponsorship of SVG Europe.
Recent innovations from the company include the HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro, a live media player and master recorder that features 12G-SDI and HDMI for recording to Apple ProRes, DNx, H.264 and H.265 files in all video standards up to 2160p. In addition, the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2, an advanced second generation ATEM Mini live production switcher, features an expanded professional style control panel, eight HDMI inputs, three HDMI outputs, multi-view, built in streaming engine, CFexpress and Thunderbolt for record/playback.
Users include Kochi Sun Sun Broadcasting, a Fuji TV Network affiliate serving Kochi Prefecture, which recently adopted the Blackmagic Replay system and utilized it for the broadcast of the Spring High School Volleyball Prefectural Finals.
In Europe, IPA-Prod utilized an acquisition, control and delivery workflow from Blackmagic Design to deliver 4K coverage of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating in Angers, France.
The production centred on the ATEM Consinformation 8K live production switcher with full 4K infrastructure. For coverage, IPA-Prod deployed six Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 cameras, relying heavily on the model’s 6K Super 35 sensor, and paired them with Canon 4K broadcast zooms, including UJ111x8.2 DIGISUPER lenses on low angle, hard cameras, a UJ90x9 DIGISUPER lens for reverse coverage, and CJ45ex9.7B and CJ15ex4.3B lenses for main, beauty, and kiss and cry positions.
