Cohen & Gresser announced that Olga Ponomarenko has joined the firm’s London office as a partner, with Irina Bratishkina joining as an associate. The pair brings significant experience advising on complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, co-investments, equity capital markets transactions, and broader strategic corporate matters.
Ponomarenko joins from Latham & Watkins, where she served as a partner, while Bratishkina was previously an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
Ponomarenko advises private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, multinational corporations, and financial institutions across industries, including technology, energy, financial services, consumer, and infrastructure. She is known for her work on multi-jurisdictional transactions, co-investments, carve-outs, joint ventures, sanctions compliance matters, and large-scale corporate reorganizations. Her practice spans Europe, the CIS region, the Middle East, and other international markets.
Bratishkina focutilizes on private equity and M&A matters, advising private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, international corporations, and private investors on cross-border transactions. Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, exits, and strategic investments, with an emphasis on transaction execution, regulatory considerations, and compliance-related matters across multiple sectors.
The additions come as Cohen & Gresser continues to grow its international corporate practice, further strengthening its capabilities in cross-border M&A, co-investments, capital markets, and strategic investments.
