On Saturday, the DDA Green Expo 2026, held at Baansera park near Sarai Kale Khan, was inaugurated by Lt Governor VK Saxena. The event honors Delhi residents who contribute to the city’s greenery efforts.
Lt Governor Saxena praised the park for its transformation from a severely degraded site to a hub for sustainable development and ecological resilience. He emphasized the Expo’s role in addressing Delhi’s environmental challenges through practical solutions.
The Expo, themed ‘Beyond Growth: Reimagining Urban Futures’, goes beyond exhibits by involving community initiatives like theatre workshops and urban ecological research with educational institutions, underlining DDA’s commitment to becoming Delhi’s Environmental Trustee.
